Get To Know Our Holmes

Widely known as ‘Holmesy’ and occasionally referred to as Paul, I’m the keyboard player, producer and jack of all trades at Moods HQ. I’ve been playing instruments since I was 5 years old and I’m just about getting to the point where I know what I’m actually doing with them.

Outside of the band I’m actually a scientist (no really, I am actually a scientist). Over the years people have mistakenly believed that I’m a physicist, a rocket scientist, a neurologist and loads of other types of ‘ists’. I’m actually a chemist trained in Medicinal and Biological Chemistry, but you should never let the facts get in the way of a good story.

I have many redeeming features – patience, understanding and compassion are unfortunately not on that list but it certainly helps to get shit done. Away from music and science I will watch pretty much any sport and have been sickeningly competitive from a young age.
