"If you’ve never seen one of The Moods high-octane shows then make sure you catch them this year, whilst you still can"
CARNIVAL - PERFORMED AT THE MANCHESTER ARENA FOR THE WORLD TAEKWONDO CHAMPIONSHIPS
The Moods are a nine-piece collective of producers, poets and musicians from the Northwest of England. Combining drum & bass, reggae, hip-hop and EDM, The Moods’ mighty music sparks off a contagious need to dance, underpinned, with real grit & substance. They are a band with plenty to say, singing and rapping with raw passion about the important stuff like war, famine, love, life and death. This is music for the head & heart, “They will make you dance, and then they’ll make you think”.
“Make you dance, then make you think”
A 9-piece band whose genre-hopping sounds elicits an insatiable urge to dance. The Moods line up is as eclectic as its sound, featuring rappers, poets, producers and classical musicians. With brass, strings, big beats and socially conscious lyrics, The Moods are a rare breed of band who appeal to almost every demographic.
Having recently completed their 6th UK tour in 2 years, the band are getting ready for a busy summer of festivals. The ever-expanding list of festival appearances include Moovin Festival, Beat Herder, Highest Point, Doune the Rabbit Hole, Audio Soup, Tramlines, Lindisfarne, Macclesfield Festival, Party in the Pines and Stampede Festival amongst others.
2019 saw The Moods play on their biggest stage so far, performing at the Manchester Arena for the World Taekwondo Championships. Their upcoming single ‘Strong’ was the official anthem of the games and the band brought the house down with a performance of the track that also featured the 40-piece Manchester Show Choir.
With a whole host of single releases planned for this year and a new album due to be released in early 2020, The Moods are ready for a massive 12 months. Another tour in autumn will see the band play some new territories, as well returning to most of their favourite haunts around the UK to party with their ever-growing legion of fans. If you’ve never seen one of The Moods high-octane shows then make sure you catch them this year, whilst you still can.
